Know Before You Go

Everything for your first visit.

A little prep makes the whole thing better. Here's what to bring and how the practical side works.

What to bring

A swimsuit (no metal), 2 towels, and a water bottle. Sandals are handy for the walk to the plunge. We'll have a spot for your things; leave valuables at home.

What to wear

Swimwear is required in the sauna and the plunge — it's a shared, mixed space. Come in it or change on site. Remember to wear a swimsuit with no metal!

When to arrive

About 10 min early for your first visit. Sessions run 50 min with a 10-min turnover, so we start and end on time.

Cold plunge straight from a workout?

If you're coming off the gym floor for a cold plunge, please cool down, towel off, and rinse the sweat before you get in. It keeps the water clean for everyone who follows.

Sign once, then it's handled

Waiver

First-time guests complete a short participant waiver when they register. It takes a minute and it's kept securely on file, so you won't fill it out again.

Plans change — we get it

Cancellations & waitlist

Cancel up to 24 hours before your session at no charge. Later than that, or a no-show, uses the session or credit.

Session full? Join the waitlist and we'll email you the moment a spot opens.

A note on weather

We're mobile and outdoor, so now and then weather moves a session. We'll reach you ahead of time and help you rebook — you'll never lose a session to a storm.

A few common questions

Do I have to do the cold plunge?

Never. Ease in over a few visits, or just enjoy the heat.

Can I come with a friend?

Yes — book a spot each. Sessions hold up to ten.

How hot does it get?

The sauna can run past 180°F.

Is the cold plunge cleaned regularly?

Absolutely. We thoroughly clean the cold plunges before each event or session and skim out debris between guests. Our chillers use dual filters and ozone treatment, supported by regular filter cleaning and frequent filter and water changes.

Health conditions to flag?

If you’re pregnant, have a heart condition, or have any concerns about how heat or cold may affect your health or medications, check with your healthcare provider before using the sauna or cold plunge.

What are the best practices for using the cold plunge?

-Enter the cold plunge slowly and carefully. The surface in and around the cold plunge can be slippery.
-Submerge yourself up to your shoulders for no longer than the recommended time.
-Breathe slowly and deeply.
-Exit the cold plunge promptly and dry yourself thoroughly.
-We recommend having a buddy with you when using the cold plunge, especially for your first time.

Do I need a Chesapeake CrossFit membership?

No. Everyone is welcome!

What should I bring?

A bathing suit (no metal); two towels, a water bottle; and sandals.

How long should I stay in the cold plunge?

There is no time target you need to reach. The right duration depends on the water temperature, your experience, and your health. Colder water calls for shorter dips, especially when you’re new to plunging.

Do unused membership sessions roll over?

Yes!. Any sessions you don’t use during your four-week membership cycle carry over into the next cycle. Those carried-over sessions expire at the end of that next cycle if unused.

What if I need to cancel my session?

No problem. You can cancel a session up to 24 hours in advance at no charge. If you cancel within 24 hours of the session, you will be charged for that session.

What is the sauna etiquette?

Always sit on a towel to help keep the benches clean, and leave shoes and sandals outside the sauna. Bring a second towel for drying off after your session or cold plunge. We recommend swimwear without metal fasteners or decorations, as metal can get hot against your skin.
